A fire that broke out in the morning of June 3 at a poultry plant in Dehui in Jilin province has killed at least 55 people.

The incident is ongoing, with rescue workers struggling to put the fire out, which was apparently caused by three explosions in the plant’s electrical system. Around 100 workers have managed to escape, though there are still many workers reported to be trapped in the factory.
