Fail of Fails: Burglar Gets Rescued from Vent by Firefighters in Chongqing

A burglar in Chongqing had to be rescued by firefighters on July 19 after getting trapped in an air vent. Firefighters worked for over an hour to free the man after his lower half was spotted dangling from the side of the building by concerned neighbours.

The man first tried to pass himself off as a relative of the house owner who just needed to pick up a few things that he’d left inside. Police saw through this however, and the burglar eventually admitted his true intent.

Weighing only 50 kilograms, the 25 year old suspect said that his skinny frame usually came in useful when burgling: “People all say I'm skinny, so why did I get stuck in the vent? I had measured the opening and it should have been wide enough for my waist”.

The man was arrested after being taken to the hospital for treatment.
