The Croods, an American 3D computer animated film revolving around a family’s adventures in a fantastical pre-historic era, was originally set to be pulled from Chinese screens on June 24. However, many big cinemas in Beijing announced that June 6 would be the last day of its showing. There has been no explanation as to why the film was suddenly taken off Chinese screens.

The Croods was released in China on April 20, and made around 300 million RMB at the Chinese box office.
