According to reports, on June 6 disgruntled Foxconn workers at the Chengdu plant caused major unrest at their dormitories. Salary disputes and inefficient management were at the heart of the disturbance, which reportedly involved over 1000 people and lead to several injuries. Over ten people have been arrested following the chaos. According to the Hong Kong newspaper Mingpao, the disturbance was ignited when a dorm admin staff and two security guards entered the building to investigate a reported theft.
