The inauguration ceremony of Qingdao Guoxin Stadium, the "diamond" stadium which will hold the Eleventh National Games Ice contests is held on February 22nd 2009.
On March 13th 2009, the "diamond" Stadium will host the short track speed skating test event of the Eleventh National Games, short track speed skating and figure skating competition of the Eleventh National Games in early April. From May to October, it will continue to host badminton pre-finals and finals as well as table tennis finals.
