The Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Ministry of Public Security recently issued a joint notice (《关于依法严惩“地沟油”犯罪活动的通知》) detailing the severe punishments dolled out for committing gutter oil crimes. According to the notice, in particularly serious cases, the principal offenders may be given the death penalty.

I have read that gutter oil is highly carcinogenic. Are you sure of what you say?
