There are a myriad of bus stations in Daqing, but visitors usually find the long-distance buses they need can be caught from one of the three largest: Daqing Passenger Transport Central Station, Zhongqilu Long-Distance Bus Station and Longnan Long-Distance Bus Station.

The Harbin-Daqing Highway and Mingshui-Shenyang highways run through Daqing, connecting passengers to destinations all over northeast China and Heilongjiang Province including Harbin (2 hours), Qiqihaer (1.5 hours), Changchun (6 hours) and Shenyang (12 hours). In total, nearly 300 lines operate from Daqing; if there is no direct train to the visitor's final destination, one can usually connect through one of the larger cities.
