On August 8, Dalian Airlines held its opening ceremony. It is the first airline to be based out of Dalian. Dalian Air expects that within the year they will begin flying with their initial focus being on developing domestic routes. In particular, Dalian Air will develop routes direct to Beijing and Shanghai with connecting flights to Shenzhen and other cities, with the cooperation of other airlines. After maturing its domestic routes, Dalian Air hopes to expand its network by flying to Japan, South Korea and other international destinations.
