Countdown Mechanisms for Pedestrian Crossing Lights Installed in Beijing

Around 800 traffic lights with countdown mechanisms and voice reminders were installed at 100 major crossroads in four districts in Beijing, including Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chongwen and Xuanwu. The signals can indicate the time remaining until traffic lights change. The newly added voice reminders will alert the blind to know when the lights change.
