At age 30 Wang Qiang finally found love, for the first time, on Valentine’s day. The part of Wang’s story that makes it unusual is that he is 2.26 m tall and is known in his home town of Chongqing is the ‘Little Giant’.

Wang grew at a normal speed until he was 17 years old and from that point on he grew at a rate of around 3 cm per year until 2012 when he was 28. The abnormal growth was apparently caused by a tumor and when it was removed in Beijing in 2012, he finally stopped growing. The tumor had caused him to go partially blind, and today he is left with only sight from his right eye.

A few days before Valentine’s day this year, Wang put an advert online asking for a date for the big day. On February 14 he went to the meeting spot he had indicated on his post and waited, hoping for someone to arrive. Finally, 20 year old, 1.56 m tall, Chen Hong showed up.
