China’s first “Mini Sleep” Pods Tested in Xianyang International Airport

On July 10, the first test run of “mini sleep” pods began at the Xianyang International Airport in Xi’an. The new facility features 20 resting zones in total; 10 in the hall between T2 and T3, 4 in T3 and 6 in a separate, isolated area. The pods are compact, three square meter resting zones that are 2.7 meters high and equipped with a bed, a TV, a computer and charging sockets ( but no bathroom). Renting the sleeping pods will cost 60 Yuan per hour and 40 Yuan per hour after the third hour. Passengers can rest for a half an hour for 30 Yuan.
