After 26 seasons of “The Simpsons”, everyone in the West may be fed up with them by now. However, Chinese TV viewers are yet to indulge in the epic 26-season comic cartoon, as Sohu just finalized a deal bringing Springfield to China.

This is the first time that “The Simpsons” will be airing in China, although how many of the over 500 episodes will be available on Sohu is still unclear.

Sohu’s CEO, Charles Zhang, announced that the new TV show addition “demonstrates [the company’s] commitment in bringing the best experience” to Chinese viewers. Some may even be able to relate, as China Daily reports that “The Simpsons”’ executive producer Al Jean said that Springfield is actually located in Shandong province.
