According to the Dalian branch of China Southern Airlines, the airliner intends to open a new flight route from Dalian to Koh Samui in Thailand (via Guangzhou) this March. The new route will officially open on March 20th and will operate two flights per week on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The flight (CZ3027/8) will depart from Guangzhou at 18:10 and will touch down in Koh Samui at 20:25. The return flight departs at 21:25 and arrives in Guangzhou at 01:20. For the Dalian to Guangzhou leg of the trip, passengers can opt to take the China Southern flight CZ6261, which lands in time for the connecting flight to Koh Samui. However, because the return flight from Thailand lands in Guangzhou in the early morning hours, ongoing passengers to Dalian will receive free accommodation in Guangzhou, courtesy of Southern Airlines.

Koh Samui is the third largest island in Thailand and is located approximately 560 km from the Thailand’s capital Bangkok. The island occupies an area of 247 square kilometres and is surrounded by over 80 islands. Koh Samui owes much of its popularity to its clear, blue waters and golden sands.

If that’s not enough to awaken the globetrotter in you, China Southern Airlines has also announced that it will open a Dalian-Guangzhou-London route this June. Bon voyage!
