China Southern Airlines officially opened the Beijing-Urumqi-Istanbul international flight route on November 22nd. This is China Southern Airlines' first direct route to Turkey, and is also the fastest, (less than seven hours from Urumqi to Istanbul). This flight route is scheduled for every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, departing Beijing at 17:20, arriving in Urumqi at 21:35, departing Urumqi at 23:05 and arriving in Istanbul at 23:59 (local time). The return flight departs Istanbul at 01:00 (local time), arrives in Urumqi at 13:30, departs Urumqi at 15:00, and arrives in Beijing at 18:25.
