The first phase of the southern base of China Mobile Ltd. will come into service in August 2009.
The base is situated in the western Gaotang New Development Area of Tianhe Software Park in Guangzhou, and has a total investment of CNY 1.5 billion in its first phase. With the laying of the foundation stone on March 26, 2007, the southern base has received strong support from the local government, which aims to bolster up the development of the electronic information industry.
Upon completion, the base will attract nearly 100 companies providing related services to settle down in the software park. Besides this, ten international technology R&D centers, and 500 information services providers will follow and branch out in Guangzhou.
