Childbirth Pain Simulator Makes Men in Shandong Cry

Childbirth Pain Simulator Makes Men in Shandong Cry
Nov 07, 2014 By eChinacities.com

In an effort to help men understand what their wives or girlfriends are going through when they are giving birth, a Shandong hospital decided to literally let them feel it.

The men were hooked up to a machine sending electric shocks through their abs that would give them similar levels of pain as a woman has when she is experiencing contractions.

The participants were generally partners of pregnant women, some of whom had been quoted as telling their partners to stop complaining. Hopefully they will have more respect for their partners and giving birth in general after the experiment – we’d think so, considering the fact that some could only bear the pain for a few minutes, and others were reduced to tears.

If you check the source, some British guy tried it too and gave up pretty quickly. I try to imagine child birth like being stabbing in the stomach and someone slowly twisting the blade for hours on end. Respect to women for going through this.
