The Chengdu Aquarium announced that it was closing November 1st. For those who’ve already booked tickets, it will still admit some group tours. As for the fate of the aquarium, sources have divulged that it is currently waiting for new owners to take over and that more would be known by the end of the month. An email from the Singapore Haw Par Group stated that in light of the Chengdu Amusement Park closing and that area being rebuilt as an open space, it is impractical for the company to keep the Chengdu Aquarium open.
