Dec 31, 2008 By eChinacities.com

Chebaling, China, in the southeast of Shixing County of Shaoguan City of Guangdong Province, contains relatively well preserved sub-tropical evergreen broad-leaved forests. It is home to the endangered Chinese tiger (Panthera Tigris) and the recently rediscovered white-eared night heron (Gorsachius magnificus). Ecotourism is being developed in the context of sustainable development.

Chebaling is second ‘World Biosphere Reserves’ in Guangdong Province, only later than Dinghushan. Till now, there are 28 World Biosphere Reserves in China.
