Following the travel madness and high ticket prices of the Spring Festival holiday, ticket prices for all flight routes departing Urumqi International Airport have been substantially discounted. For flights out of Xinjiang Province, tickets for the Urumqi-Xi'an flight route are currently selling at a 65% discount (1,180 RMB including fuel and airport fees). Likewise, Urumqi flights to Beijing, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Chongqing, Nanjing, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Kunming and other cities are also offering flight ticket discounts ranging from 20-50% off (now through February 4th). As for flights within Xinjiang Province, tickets for the Urumqi-Hotan (和田) flight route are currently selling at a 83% discount (340 RMB including fuel and airport fees), while tickets for Urumqi flights to Kashgar (喀什), Yining (伊宁), Kora (库尔勒) and other cities are currently selling at a 70-80% discount.
