On April 4 at around six in the morning outside a KFC on Changsha’s Jiefang Xilu, a local resident named Yang discovered a woman being sexually assaulted by a foreign man. The man was said to be in his twenties, around 1.6 m tall, and was wearing black clothes and black shoes. The victim was said to be a local in her thirties, had a round face and was slightly overweight.
At first, the man seemed to be embracing the woman, which led Yang to believe that they were a couple. Other passersby were said to have played witness to the incident, though despite some stopping to take a look, no one decided to interfere. Later on however, the foreigner pressed the woman to the ground and took off both his and the woman’s pants.
After feeling that something was wrong, Yang decided to call the police. Yang then crossed the street and tried to stop the man from assaulting the woman, and was also aided by several others at the time. Yang said that when he got close, the foreigner stopped what he was doing and stood up. “His lower body was naked. He hurriedly grabbed his trousers and put them back on again. I was very angry, as was the girl he was abusing. She swore at him in English.”
A nearby surveillance camera captured the scene; which saw several Changsha locals attacking the foreigner. Yang said that the man cowered and was trying to say something in English. “I knew it was English,” stated Yang, “but I couldn’t understand what he was saying.”
The CCTV cameras didn’t capture the supposed sexual assault, though the police have confirmed that the foreigner was abusing the woman, and have begun an investigation accordingly. The police have said that he is an overseas student at a university in Changsha’s Hexi area; though the woman’s identity has yet to be confirmed. Whether or not the foreigner was under the influence of alcohol or knew the girl he was supposedly assaulting is still unclear.

"I knew it was English but I couldn't understand what he was saying." Unless there was an exchange of "hello" between the two then how would he know it MUST be English? A 5 foot 2 foreigner assaulting a slightly overweight Chinese girl? How hard was she fighting him? "She swore at him in English." He doesn't understand English but knew she was swearing at him? Maybe she was saying "Hurry up, these idiots look like they are going to stop my fun." More holes in this sad tale than in a kitchen sieve.
