Snow Sweetened Bean Paste (Xue Yi Dou Sha) 雪衣豆沙

One of the most popular snacks served to visitors in Chongqing, they are made with red bean paste and eggs, dusted with sugar.

Korea Cold Noodle (Chaoxian Leng Mian) 朝鲜冷面
Buckwheat noodles served cold with a range of seasonings, including, vegetable relish, apple slices, egg, beef slices and sesame oil. This dish is a favorite during the summer months.

Li Liangui Bacon and Cake (Li Liangui Xunrou Dabing) 李连贵熏肉大饼
These treats are served from over 70 branches around the country. A cake made from flour and soup, it is served with boiled bacon and is believed to strengthen the kidneys. It is a filling snack that will warm you in cold weather. Round and fried ‘till golden brown, they are a treat to be enjoyed on a less than regular basis if you are at all health conscious.

Dagao cake (Da Gao) 打糕
Dagao is one of the most popular Korean exports in Changchun. They are available made from either sticky rice or millet, cut into chunks and sweetened with sugar, honey or bean paste. They are traditionally eaten at festivals, gatherings and for receiving guests.

Piccalilli (Pao Cai) 泡菜
Piccalilli, a picked vegetable relish, is eaten almost daily by many Korean families. It is usually made with chili, garlic, ginger, radish, apple and pear.

Frozen dumplings (Dong Jiao Zi) 冻饺子
Northeastern Chinese often enjoy eating dumplings that have been frozen outdoors, particularly during Chinese New Year. Dumplings are made, and then stored outside in sub-zero temperatures. They are boiled right from frozen, and are filling and tasty.

Mashed potatoes and eggplant (Tu Dou Qie Zi Ni) 土豆茄子泥
Steamed potatoes are mashed up with fried eggplant and green peppers. It is served with pork, onion and ginger.
