2013 is the 150th anniversary of Richard Strauss. In memory of this German composer the Shanghai Oriental Art Center will be hosting a night of his work on April 6. Eschenbach and SSO will present two pieces of his: the symphonic poem adapted from Byron’s long poem Don Juan and Der Rosenkavalier, the renowned opera in three acts.
