Bus Bilingual Stop Reporting Systems Promoted

Bus Bilingual Stop Reporting Systems Promoted
Mar 04, 2009 By eChinacities.com

Over 4,000 city buses will be renewed to greet the upcoming 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. All the buses should be safe, comfortable, environmental-friendly, and have an overall good look, to meet the strict requirements from this international sports gala.

An intelligent system will be installed on the bus. In addition, bilingual electronic stop reporting systems will be promoted soon with 3 different languages reporting at every stop. Notably, English will be added to the original languages of Mandarin and Cantonese to bring convenience to foreign friends who come to Guangzhou for the first time. Red-green lights will be placed on every bus station to show how many stops the buses have passed.
