Bullet train trips increase

Guangzhou Railway Group will increase the number of bullet trains between Shenzhen and Guangzhou to a maximum of 120 trips a day starting April 1, leaving at intervals of five minutes, sources from the Shenzhen Railway Station said yesterday.

The first train will leave at 6:20 a.m., and the last departure will be at 10:50 p.m.

Shenzhen Railway Station will adopt new schedules for four long-distance trains between the city and stations of Wuchang and Changsha as well as Shenyangbei Railway Station starting April 1.

The T67 from Wuchang to Shenzhen will arrive here at 7:27 a.m., three minutes ahead of the previous schedule. The original N557 (now K9017) from Changsha will be rescheduled to arrive in Shenzhen from 8:44 a.m. to 8:29 a.m. The T176 from Shenzhen to Wuchang will leave Shenzhen at 7:50 p.m., and the departure time for the train from Shenzhen to Shenyangbei Railway Station will be changed from 8:43 p.m. to 8:18 p.m., sources from the Shenzhen Railway Station said yesterday.

In addition, the railway group will upgrade the speed of four trains between Shenzhen and the cities of Yueyang, Changsha, Changde in Hunan Province and Shantou in eastern Guangdong.
