At 13:10 on the afternoon of July 4th, Daruifa Supermarket located in Jiading District received an anonymous telephone call saying a bomb had been placed in one of the lockers. The supermarket soon called the local police, and the bomb exploded after the building had been evacuated by police, damaging the locker but fortunately causing no casualties. The suspect, surnamed Qu, was caught in Huangdu area, Jiading three hours after the blast.
