Bo Xilai Expelled from Communist Party and Public Office

On September 28, state media announced that, following a decision by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, former Chongqing Party Secretary Bo Xilai has been expelled from the Communist Party and public office. According to the announcement, the former top politician is accused of abuse of power and corruption. The announcement ends months of speculation over the fate of the politician.
