Black Cabs Run Rampant in Sanya’s Yalong Bay
Jun 18, 2012 By eChinacities.com

Where one thrives today, expect five tomorrow. Not unlike cockroaches, unlicensed or "black" cabs have overrun Sanya's Yalong Bay. There are currently over 600 of these black taxis in the Yalong Bay area, often found parked in the lobbies of hotels waiting for guests who need a ride. The illegal cabs rely on hotel staff, who guide unsuspecting tourists to a black cab rather than a licensed cab in exchange for part of the driver's profits. Black cab drivers then take tourists shopping in Sanya, often getting paid commissions by shops for bringing in customers.
