Following the National Day holiday, the number of tourists in Tibet has dropped sharply. Consequently, plane ticket prices departing from Lhasa have also dropped, with some airlines offering as much as a 40% discount; such as flights from Lhasa to Chongqing and Xining. Also, plane tickets from Lhasa to Chengdu have a 30% discount and plane tickets from Lhasa to Beijing and Xi’an have a 20% discount. However, flights from Lhasa to Guangzhou and Shanghai are only offering a 10% discount.
