The northern part of Beijing's Olympic Forest will open its doors to visitors absolutely free of charge for the first time, as part of the National Day celebrations. On the occasion, city residents and visitors from both outside the city and country will be able to enjoy this 680 hectare large “natural oxygen bar.” The Olympic Forest Park is located in the northern central axis of the city and resembles a natural landscape. The main feature of the forest park, which opens on September 1st, will be its dense jungle. This area is a protected zone for the various tree types and birdlife.
Beijing Olympic Forest’s South Park has already been open to the public free of charge since the 26th September 2008.
