Beijing's North “4.5 Ring” entirely open to traffic
Feb 11, 2009 By eChinacities.com

Now that Huizhong Road, outside the North Fourth Ring, is completed and open to traffic, Beijing’s North “4.5 Ring” is entirely open to traffic, becoming another east-to-west main Beijing thoroughfare like Chang’an Avenue, Ping’an Avenue or Liangguang Road. It stretches from the east gate of Peking University in the west to the Wangjing area in the east, in parallel with the North Fourth Ring. The 4.5th ring will reduce traffic on the northwest Fourth Ring.
