Jun 21, 2013 By eChinacities.com

The Beijing Traffic Management Bureau announced on June 20 that in the first half of 2013, there were a total of 27 reported motorcycle accidents which killed 28 people and injured ten.

As a result, from June 21, motorcyclists who are without licences or hold fake licences, as well as those who don’t obey certain traffic regulations such as the wearing of helmets, will be subject to higher levels of scrutiny.

Those who are without licences will be arrested, and those who are caught without helmets may be fined up to 200 RMB.
