According to a survey by ECA International, the world's largest human resource consulting company, Beijing is the second most expensive city in Asia for foreigners to live in. The survey also revealed that Tokyo was the most expensive, and in fact ranked first in the worldwide survey.
Rounding out the top ten are (in order): Nagoya, Shanghai, Yokohama, Seoul, Osaka, Hong Kong, Singapore and Guangzhou.
So if you’re planning on living life in Asia on a tight budget, try and avoid the metropolitan areas of China and Japan.
