Beijing Residents Rush to Make Exit and Entry Applications
Jan 11, 2010 By eChinacities.com

The Exit and Entry Administration of Beijing Public Security Bureau at Hangtianqiaoxi in Haidian District has been crowded with people applying for passports, Travel Permits to Hong Kong and Macau and Taiwan permits by Mainland residents in recent days. The number of people received daily reached as high as over 1300 on weekends, twice of that on weekdays. People have to wait for more than one hour in the line. More and more residents are coming to make applications since December 2009. The families are planning to take their kids to travel abroad during the winter vacation. The security bureau has suggested that residents should visit their official website www.bjgaj.gov.cn to get the related papers and photos prepared. Forms can be downloaded online and filled out at home and hence saves waiting time at the bureau.
