The 22nd Red Leaf Festival will run from October 15th to November 7th at Xiangshan Park (Fragrant Hill Park) in Beijing. According to the Xiangshan Park Service Centre, this year’s festival will begin one day earlier than usual, as about 15 percent of the leaves in the park have already turned red. Visitors should act fast to see the colourful early autumn scenery at Xianglu Peak and Baisong Pavilion.

During the festival, the park is expected to receive massive crowds on the four weekends (Oct. 16-17, Oct. 23-24, Oct. 30-31 and Nov. 6-7). Visitors with yearlong passes, season passes, monthly passes or seniors’ discount cards are allowed to enter into the park before and after it is open to the public (9:00-16:00).
