A Beijing landlord has reached an intense level of creepy – he posted ads to rent out rooms in Haidian district on the internet, asking for ‘single women only’. It turns out that the reason he did this was because the female tenants’ bathroom was equipped with a one-way mirror and a pinhole camera used for, well, I think we can all guess.
The mirror was attached on a hole in the wall, meaning that the person in the other room could see through the mirror without the person looking into the mirror noticing anything. Yuck.
The landlord was found out when one of the girls discovered nude pictures of themselves on his cell phone. Following a police report, the investigation uncovered two pinhole cameras inside a loudspeaker in the girls’ room. Further investigation is underway, as he is being held at a Haidian police station.

Yes but this is not very serious. You should read the article about the disgraceful foreigners trying to take their bicyles onto the subway in Beijing. That is far more terrible than a guy peeking at naked women in the bathroom through broken mirrors.

Or the whole story is not represented and what the landlord was trying to do is blackmail the girls into either handing out money or offering sexual favours under the threat that the pictures would otherwise turn up on the internet.
