Beijing International Tourism Festival to Kick Off Sunday Sep 19th

Beijing International Tourism Festival will kick off this Sunday (September 19th), and performers from nearly 22 different countries and regions will be putting on an elaborate parade and show along the Qianmen Avenue in celebration of the event.

This year's tourism festival will be setting up information stalls/counters at Olympic Walkway, Xidang Cultural Square, and Solana Blue Bay Commercial District; the information stalls/counters will be offering visitors different brochures introducing tour packages and consulting service with planning for trips.

The main venue for the event will be set up along Qianmen Avenue. Director of the Beijing Tourism Administration Zhang Huiguang has announced that nearly 2,000 performers of 23 different troupes that have traveled to Beijing from 22 countries and regions will be putting on a most gracious and elaborate parade along the avenue. Amongst the different troupes are a number of world renowned performance companies, including Scottish and Mexican dance companies that have been established since nearly a century.
