Beijing Hospitals to Implement New Treatment Standards

Treatment standards will be implemented for 112 illnesses in China’s 50 major hospitals from January 2010 to October 2011. Patients will receive diagnosis and treatments that meet with the strict new standards, from medicating to nursing. Patients will also receive clearer information about medical fees. Seven of the trial hospitals are in Beijing, namely Peking University People’s Hospital, Peking University Third Hospital, Beijing Xuanwu Hospital, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Peking University Stomatological Hospital, one three-level general hospital and one three-level specialised hospital.
