Oct 23, 2009 By eChinacities.com
Dazhalan Xijie in Xuanwu District, with a history of 600 years, has reopened after seven months of reconstruction. The street starts from Meishi Street in the east and reaches the meeting point of Yingtao Xiejie and Tieshu Xiejie Dongkou in the west. In history, the street was named Guanyinsi Jie for the Guanyin Temple on its east end. Eighteen historic sites are rebuilt and 11 traditional stores have begun to welcome customers again.
