On June 25, the Beijing Municipal Animal Epidemic Prevention Center announced that owners of puppies that are set to have future rabies vaccinations must carry with them a “rabies immunization” certificate if they take their puppies outside.

The center also announced that cats, dogs, chickens and ducks will no longer be allowed on public buses. Also, in order to further prevent the spread of infectious diseases from animals, it is also forbidden to slaughter animals in tourist or dining areas.
