Bad Pollution Levels in Guangzhou Will Force the Halting of  3/4 of City’s Cars

On February 24 new pollution combating measures were announced on the Guangzhou Environmental Protection Agency website. If pollution becomes hazardous then as many as 3/4 of government cars could be yanked off the road by a system using the last number of their license plates. However, as we have seen in Beijing recently, while these measures seem good in theory, they are rarely implemented.
