The Mayor of Guangzhou Zhang Guangning ordered on Friday the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) construction along the Zhongshan Dadao in this south China city should be completed by the end of this year.
He commented during his inspection to the site.
He also required the constructor to optimize the building operations and traffic rearrangement for fewer congestions.
The lane blocks for the BRT construction result in traffic jams in Tianhe, and have been well complained.
Today the busy crossroads of Tianhe Lu and Tianhe Dong Lu is closed for infrastructure construction, and will bring more traffic congestions there.
