The National Office Against Pornographic and Illegal Publication recently announced that in their continuing efforts to “clean up the internet” they’ve now launched an investigation against the Apple and Android app stores, two domestic app companies (Tiantian Kanshu and Feiku Wang), as well as 198 websites suspected of containing pornographic content.

Thus far during the investigation, 21 websites have already been shutdown, and 175 employees who worked for the targeted websites have been taken in for questioning, with the authorities demanding that they delete any pornographic material immediately.
