Apple Music Launches in China for 10 Yuan Per Month

Apple Music, iTunes Movies, iBooks and officially launched in China on September 30. Apple’s senior vice present of Internet software and services Eddy Cue said that China has become the largest market in the world for app downloads.

The music, movies and books available in China have been selected by a team of local experts. Apple Music offers over a million music choices.

Apple Music subscriptions are much cheaper in China than in the United States. Users in China can get a three month free trial period, and then it is 10 Yuan per month for an individual plan and 15 Yuan per month for a family plan. In the United States, the individual plan costs $9.99 per month, and the family account costs $14.99.

However, Apple Music is currently only available online, and users cannot download music.

iTunes Movies can be downloaded to iCloud and viewed on multiple devices. Renting a movie costs 5 Yuan, and purchasing a movie costs 18 Yuan. iTunes Movies will also have a variety of free content and limited time offers.
