Apple CEO Tim Cook Promotes Environmental Programs on China Tour

In the midst of China's love affair with Apple, the company's CEO Tim Cook has increased his presence in China. Cook visited China to promote Apple's cooperation the World Wildlife Fund(WWF). Apple and WWF plan to work together to increase responsible forest resource management within China. Apple plans to take on renewable energy projects in China's manufacturing facilities and cooperate with companies in China to construct two 20-megawatt solar farms.

Cook also stopped off at Beijing's Elementary School at Communication University of China as part of his tour on May 12. He wrote on his personal Weibo, "It's great to see innovation making a difference in the classrom, and we're proud that iPad is a part of it.”
