Apple has agreed to China’s tough anti-terror restrictions, in a move that American Media has described as kowtowing to China’s draconian security demands.
Although details surrounding the agreement are murky, according to Quartz, Apple will be sharing iPhone’s underlying source codes and other services, which could potentially increase risk of user surveillance.
Apple’s capitulation has drawn criticism from the US government and other tech companies, who believe that Apple has put them into a vulnerable position.

China wants the iPhone source code to "fight terror". I guess it's a good thing China isn't interested in hacking, surveillance or IP theft. Oh wait. THAT China?

yeah, with the current banning and expeling many foreigner companies out of China market and asking for source codes, it is surely only in a mean of "terror fight" , no stealing and further closing its doors..
