After Five Year Hiatus, Snow Leopard Photographed Twice in Two Weeks
Nov 27, 2013 By eChinacities.com

Big wild animals are a rare site in China these days, in Sichuan Shiqu county nature reserve a wild snow leopard spotting hasn’t been reported in five years….until recently that is. An infra red camera, which was installed back in July, has caught two pictures of a snow leopard within a matter of two weeks. Staff say, that it is impossible to tell whether the animal in the two pictures is the same beast. Bet David Attenborough could tell you!

In 1972 the International Union for Conservation of nature identified the snow leopard as an endangered species, and the noble cat is included on the red list of endangered animals. Which explains why these two sightings make the weird news section.

This is such a beautiful animal. Truly wishing they never go extinct.

Surely someone will kill it and eat it soon.. like they did with the rare snub nosed monkey in Yunnan.
