Advance train-booking to start Jan. 2

SHENZHEN residents can book train tickets four to ten days ahead of their travel time by calling 95105160 or 96020086 starting Jan.2nd, according to the Shenzhen railway authority.

The ticket booking system with 1,760 hotlines will operate 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. People who have successfully booked tickets need to pick them up at one of 37 designated ticket offices in the city by 10 p.m. the next day.
One person can book up to three tickets for the same day and same train.
The ticket offices outside the railway stations will operate between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., and the ticket counters at the Shenzhen North Railway Station will extend service to midnight.

Shenzhen residents can also book their return tickets for the post-festival period- Jan. 29 to Feb. 28 - from Jan. 11 to 21 for trains from 10 cities, including Hengyang, Yueyang, Changsha, Zhuzhou and Huaihua in Hunan Province.

Residents can call 020-61323039, 0755-25589506 or 0755-82328620 to report ticket scalping.
