The star of the Shawshank Redemption, Tim Robbins will be coming to Shanghai this June with his production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The Oscar winner will be directing the Actor’s Gang in what is one of the most famous and well loved Shakespeare plays.
The production will take place in the Shanghai’s Himalayas Art Center and will be running from June 19-21, fresh off a short stretch in Beijing.
The group will be presenting a stripped down version of the play with minimal production in order to allow the power of the actors and the magic of the story to shine through.
