Tim Robbins, the star of the Shawshank Redemption will be coming to Beijing this June with his production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The Oscar winner will be directing the Actor’s Gang in what is one of the most famous and well loved Shakespeare plays.
The production will take place in the NCPA’s smaller side theatre, and will be running from June 10-15 before heading to Shanghai.
The group will be presenting a stripped down version of the play with minimal production in order to allow the power of the actors and the magic of the story to shine through.
