Jun 09, 2015 By eChinacities.com

A suspect in Jiangxi has been arrested for running a gaokao cheating operation in which college students could hire university students to take the test for them. 48 year old Zhao was arrested on a train heading to Shandong.

Jiangxi police also arrested a 20 year old university student from Wuhan named Peng. Peng gave up five of his associates who also took the exam in the place of high school students, and gave up Zhao as the organizer of the cheating ring.

As of yesterday night, a total of nine suspects have been arrested.

Actually, how do you pass off a 20yr old as a high school kid?

If you look at the number of people who took the test--over nine million--these cheaters are statistically insignificant.

Zhao and Peng? I must know a million Zhaos and Pengs in China! (Where's Wang? Besides hiding in the closet, I mean...) And the authorities - heh heh - caught only two of them plus seven accomplices??? Nice job, boys in blue! With over 9 million exam-takers, Zhao and Peng are scapegoats. Maybe even fictitious in a made-up Chinese morality play to warn all other cheaters not to be as stupid as our lackluster and unfortunate Ps and Zs. What a fairy tale.

Well, isn't this nice. Thieves, liars, cheaters and insecure people seem to litter the home page today. And to complete the circle... guys ratting on their own. And why do Chinese think they are so superior again?

I'm at a loss to understand how someone could actually get away with taking the test for someone else. I think poetic justice would be to send in a few dummies to sit the test for these cheaters, then have them fail miserably. Now that would suck!
